About Jess and Ella Pet Services

Hello, we are Jess and Ella and we started J and E Pet Services due to our love and care for all animals, especially dogs! We’ve both grown up with and owned animals throughout life as well as worked with them.

Together, we have plenty of professional and personal experience with animals as well as being fully qualified. We both have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, qualifications in Canine Behaviour training and Animal First-aid. In addition to this, we have professional experience at dog day care centres, dog boarding kennels and catteries. In addition to volunteering at busy riding yards and veterinary practices. Our personal experiences include owning animals such as mice, hamsters, rabbits, giant African land snails, cats, dogs and horses. Plus, we are both DBS checked and fully insured.

We are both caring and compassionate and have a big passion for dogs! We are flexible and can cater to your and your dog’s needs.

Meet us and our furry helpers!

A little bit more about us

Otto

This cheeky boy was born in 2017 and his favourite thing in the world is getting lots of cuddles and affection as well as food! He is a very friendly and loving dog and he loves to explore new places on walks and spend time with his humans. Although he loves a play and an adventure his other favourite thing is to cuddle up on the sofa for a snooze! Otto is very clever and enjoys using his brain to learn new tricks and solve puzzle toys, although it's probably the tasty treat at the end that is his favourite part! Otto has had a lot of training and has a lovely temperament for group walks and being neutral with other dogs.

Bear

The lovely Bear was one of Ella’s dog’s that started our business journey with us. We sadly lost him unexpectedly in 2023 but keep him on our logo in his memory.

He was a very easy dog in every way. He loved to sleep all day and get cuddles. He was one of the sweetest natured dogs and was great to introduce to nervous dogs as he was such a neutral dog no matter the situation. He liked to say hello to dogs on his walks but preferred to say a quick hello and be on his way. He loved his food and would do whatever you ask for a treat. He was the most laid back dog but wasn’t the smartest one and had some very clumsy moments on a daily basis! He had epilepsy so took medication 4 times a day and had seizures about every 2-3 months. But this didn’t stop him from being a very happy dog, it didn’t affect his quality of life and came on many adventures with us! He was a pleasure to have as part of the family and will be missed by so many who had the chance to meet him.

Layla

Layla is very affectionate and loves attention. She was born in 2017. She loves to play with her doggy friends and likes to snooze on the sofa or have mental stimulation in the house and we do this as often as she needs or likes. She's a very intelligent girl but also quite sensitive and requires regular training and stimulation to keep her brain ticking. She loves to play with all toys, especially ones that squeak. She's great at sharing her toys with other dogs. Otto and Layla have been great at introducing to our new client dogs to see how well they walk with others before joining pack walks. They both have great temperaments to teach neutral walking and have different play styles for the dogs they walk with.
